Senior Coordinator of Quality Outcomes: Residential Staff Development
Mike Massie is a graduate of Indiana University where he received his BA degree in Psychology. Mike began providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities in 1988 starting off initially as a direct care staff in a group home setting. After providing services as a direct care staff for one year, Mike continued to provide support within a group home setting or supportive living setting as a House Manager, Program Coordinator, Support Resource Coordinator and Director of Operations. After 18 years Mike left the field for 9 months working as a counselor providing services to underprivileged youth, helping them obtain their High School diploma or GED. Additionally, Mike coordinated services with others to assist these individuals with vocational placement, helping them find work as an electrician, painter, welder, graphic art designer, etc.
Mike returned to the residential living program in January 2007, joining the Insights Consulting Team who just recently started residential services in 2006. As the Coordinator of Quality Outcomes, Mike thoroughly enjoys getting out to the sites visiting with the consumer’s and providing any support that the team may need.
