Patty graduated from Hillsdale College with Bachelors in Psychology and Social Work. During college she worked at a “Boys Home” and fell in love with the idea of helping others. After graduation Patty moved to Indianapolis and began working for a large ICF/MR facility in Indianapolis as a Behavioral Consultant on a Traumatic Brain Injury unit. After getting married and moving to Chicago, she returned to Indianapolis and began working again for St. Vincent New Hope. Patty had many roles during her 10 years at New Hope including: Behavioral Consultant, Social Worker, QMRP, Case Manager, Team Leader, and Supportive Living Manager. She was also part of the team which closed the large ICF/MR and moved over 200 residents into supportive living sites. How exciting to be a part of this movement and dream of independence of so many. After the birth of her 2nd son, she transitioned into waiver case management for 2 years. In 2005, Patty began working for the Zionsville Community School Corporation in order to be involved in her children’s day to day lives in education. Making the switch from working with adults to children was easy for her and provided many rewarding experiences. It has always been a dream of Patty’s to return to the field of working with individuals with disabilities. As Human Resource Coordinator of Recruitment, Training & Development it is my hope to recruit, hire, train, and develop all employees in every capacity to continue to serve and support the individuals who are Insights!
