Matthew Davis joined Insights as a Behavioral Consultant in September 2014. Matt earned his Bachelor of Social Work degree from Indiana University East in 2013, and completed work on his Master of Social Work degree through IUPUI’s accelerated program in 2014, with a focus on Mental Health and Addiction. His professional experience in the field of social work ranges from advocating for client services and connecting older adults to resources available in their communities, to providing psychosocial services, behavior management, and therapeutic interventions to a multitude of age groups and levels of need in a long term care setting. Matthew places a lot of value in the therapeutic relationship, and believes that creating lasting change begins with trust and understanding. He works from a strengths-based, client-centered perspective that utilizes trust and the power of positive relationships to advance the goals of the client. He loves working with other people in the field of social work, and is very grateful to have the opportunity to learn and grow along with the clients that he serves.
Matt is a current member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and plans on obtaining his License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW), and Addictions Counseling (LCAC) within the next few years.
