Amanda M. Hopkins graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2009. Upon graduation, she worked as a family case manager for at-risk children. Following this position, she pursued her passion of working with individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing direct care and managing supported living homes. Ultimately, this would lead to her employment as a Medicaid Waiver Case Manger for 6 years. Amanda earned her Master’s of Social Work degree from IUPUI in 2016. She is now excited to serve as a behavioral consultant with Insights Consulting. She has a focus of providing supports from a strengths-based perspective with an emphasis on promoting individual capabilities and fostering the rights of each individual. She has many years of experience working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities, as well as those with a dual diagnosis. Amanda and her husband recently welcomed their first-born into their family. She enjoys quality time with her loved ones, being outside on warm days, and traveling.
